Northern artists on Thursday converged in Kaduna to celebrate the creativity of the music industry in the north

Dignitaries in the entertainment industry graced the occasion and presented awards to the artists.
The event that was organised by Top Entertainment attracted fun-loving people from across the city.
Artists that performed at the event are, Emilly, Henzee, Marvellous, Skinny Boy, and comedian MC Basketmouth.

Mr Ibrahim Jika, Chief Executive Officer of Top Entertainment, told NAN that the idea was to bring music promoters, marketers and upcoming artists together to give   young artists the opportunity to exhibit their talents.
He said that it was important for artists to continue to perform to sharpen their skills.
"Who knows what will happen when some of them impress promoters here."
On the awards, Jika said that the nominations were made online and based on the artists' reach and air time on radio.
Awards were given to the best artist male, and female, best comedian and the best user of dialect.
